Ask about energy, not just facts
“What do you do?” is fine. “What part of your week actually gives you energy?” gets you something you can remember and follow up on.
Question banks that stay human
Keep a short list you can rotate so conversations do not stall.
- What are you looking forward to this month?
- How do you usually like to spend a free evening?
- What makes a hangout feel easy for you?
- Is there anything you are trying to get better at right now?
Save the answers
The point of asking is not to collect trivia. It is to show up later with care. Capture the answer in a note so your next message or date idea can use it.
